Traveling to Michoacán?
If you can't come on one of our tours, or you're just an independent traveler who can't imagine joining a tour group, but want to venture off the beaten track in Mexico and be wise about it-- maybe I can help. Many folks have approached me for insider tips and advice about the best places to sleep and eat, where to find the master artisans who create the art we feature, where to study Spanish, and to even help them plan out their itinerary. So, I am now offering private, individualized consulting services at a reasonable price and at our mutual convenience via the phone and/or email. We will discuss your needs and desires so that I can tailor a trip that is right for you and your interests. You will benefit from my years of experience living and traveling in Michoacán, as I share with you much of what my Mexico By Hand Art and Culture Tour participants receive -- as you travel on your own. This area of Mexico isn't well known by North Americans, and most travel guide books you'll find have little and often just plain wrong information that leads good people astray. I hate to see that happen. My goal is for you to have a great time and get the most out of your Michoacán adventure, and for me to be compensated for my time in helping you prepare you for your trip.
My fees start at $50 for up to an hour consultation and can be paid by VISA or Mastercard. If you would like more conversations with me (including while you are traveling in Mexico) or you would like me to make hotel or language course arrangements for you, we can negotiate an appropriate fee for that.
