Description ::
This extra large batea or wood bowl is gorgeous! It was beautifully painted by an artisan in Quiroga, Michoacan--the last artist alive who does this traditional work. These are fantastic examples of Mexican folk art and can be either mounted on the wall (hanger not included) or set on a large table. This piece measures approximately 19 inches in diameter and is for decorative use only.
Smaller bateas and trasteritos (small shelf units) are also available by the same artist.
