Woven Baskets
“Fibras vegetales" or plant fiber are another “rama" or branch of Michoacán traditional crafts. Hats, baskets, mats, animal figures and even furniture are made out of a variety of plant material, from pine needles in the eastern Sierra, to palm leaves on the Coast, to tule reeds found around Lake Patzcuaro.
